International Food Standard (IFS Food) HIGHER LEVEL (99,40%)

The IFS Food standard is internationally recognised and is designed to ensure that certified companies can offer products that conform to local and international regulations and specific requirements to ensure the safety and quality for the consumer.

Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000)

The FSSC 22000 provides a framework for effectively managing the organisation’s food and beverage safety responsibilities. It is fully recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is based on existing ISO Standards. It demonstrates that the company has a robust Food Safety Management System in place that meets the requirements of its customers.

ISO 9001:2008

Το The ISO 9001: 2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organisation is required to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and the legal and regulatory requirements through the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the system.

ISO 22000:2005

The ISO 22000: 2005 specifies requirements for a safety management system where an organisation is called on to demonstrate its ability to control safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.


Here’s the Declaration of Quality Management & Food Safety Policy of the Company NERA KRITIS SA, implemented in the Water Bottling Factory in Varipetro of Chania, in Crete:

  • Bottling and Trading: Table Water in PET Packaging, with processes that ensure that the products fully meet the National and European Community legislative requirements relating to Consumer’s health and safety
  • To fully satisfy its Clients by providing services that ensure their health protection and by constantly improving it to increase its loyal customers
  • Carrying out the production and the orders undertaken in a manner which satisfies the Customers’ requirements as formulated at the orders assigned, by keeping costs at competitive levels
  • Having the infrastructure and productive equipment upgraded according to current production and quality developments, by ensuring that all the processes are carried out under controlled conditions and by excluding any malicious action that could endanger the safety of the product
  • Using raw materials and recognized-quality consumable materials that meet the requirements of the National & European Community Legislation, the quality requirements of Customers and ensure Consumer’s safety
  • Monitoring the site of the National and International competition and incorporating immediately any positive development in the Water Bottling sector
  • Being a pioneering Greek company which will act as a model for other respective companies
  • Implementing the Quality & HACCP objectives set through the effective implementation of the System, achieving the increase of consumption safety and reduction of non-conformities

The Quality Management & HACCP System is the tool for the development, the improvement and the further recognition of the Company and has the full support of resource management issues for the effective implementation and improvement.
