Refreshing Summer infusions!
Infusion is what you get when you soak fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices into water. This results to a flavoured water that contains some of their qualities, like vitamins and minerals. A cup of tea is a perfect example of an infusion.
You can easily make your own fresh infused water to help you increase your daily intake of water and keep yourself adequately hydrated. It will also help you to reduce the consumption of beverages and refreshments, which are packed with sugar. One of the easiest, tastiest and healthiest infusion recipe we’d recommend that you could try on your first attempt, is Mint and Strawberry infused water.
Take our 1,5L Nera Kritis bottled water and remove a glass of water. Slice 10 to 15 strawberries in small pieces and put them in the bottle. Add five to six fresh mint leaves in the bottle.
Close the bottle and put it in the refrigerator. You should let it to blend for at least 4 hours. When you wish to drink your infused water, take a coffee filter and adjust it on the bottle’s lid with a rubber band before pouring it into your glass, to avoid having fruit, seeds and other particles in it .
You can keep it refrigerated for about 24 hours since strawberries can easily go bad, unless you filter your infusion as soon as you open it, into another clean bottle. Keep in mind that Nera Kritis bottled water is naturally alkaline (ph 8). Those of you who follow an alkaline diet probably know that strawberries are alkaline too, so this makes this infusion an ideal combination for alkaline diets. You can further boost alkalinity by adding a few drops of lemon.

- Fresh Strawberries
- Fresh or Dry Mint
- Coffee Filter
